TechNova 2.0

Invitation to participate in TECHNOVA 2.0, 2025 Inter-School Tech Innovation Challenge organized by Saint Soldier's Divine Public School, Sector 16, Panchkula in collaboration with STEMOrbit.

After the success of the first edition, TECHNOVA 2.0 was designed as a two-day innovation challenge where students built real-world tech models and showcased problem-solving through teamwork, creativity, and practical execution.

Invitation to Participate in TECHNOVA 2.0

Inter-School Tech Innovation Challenge by Saint Soldier's Divine Public School with STEMOrbit.

We were delighted to invite institutions to participate in TECHNOVA 2.0, an inter-school challenge built to ignite innovation, collaboration, and hands-on learning. The event brought together creative thinkers and problem-solvers to develop practical solutions through working models, presentations, and team-based execution.

Competition Categories

  1. Smart and Sustainable Cities: Smart waste management, AI-based traffic control, solar-powered amenities, and water recycling or harvesting solutions.
  2. Disaster Resilience and Emergency Solutions: Models for disaster prediction, response, and recovery such as medical delivery drones, fire or flood alerts, and safer shelters.
  3. Assistive Technology and Inclusive Solutions: Projects supporting inclusivity, including voice automation, smart walking aids, hearing support, and accessibility tools.
  4. Open Innovation Category: Any science, technology, or engineering project that solved a meaningful real-world problem.

Structure, Submission, and Evaluation

  1. Team Structure: Team size was 3 to 4 students, and one teacher mentor accompanied each team. One student could participate in only one team.
  2. Eligibility and Participation Limit: Students from Classes 6 to 10 were eligible. Each team could include a maximum of two students from any particular class. Each school could register up to two teams in different categories.
  3. Registration: No registration fee was charged. Registration closed on April 30, 2025 via www.technovafest.in/registration.
  4. Submission Requirements: Teams submitted a 200-word project write-up (title, problem, purpose, and approach) along with a 1-minute abstract video.
  5. Day 1 - Maker's Arena (20 May 2025): Teams built and executed models from scratch through planning, execution, development, testing, and final documentation phases.
  6. Mentor Assistance: Each team received two 15-minute teacher assistance coupons (total 30 minutes), used either together or in two slots.
  7. Build Policy: Pre-built or partially assembled models were not allowed. Teams brought required raw materials, tools, electronics, and devices and assembled all components live at the venue.
  8. Day 2 - Presentation and Jury Round (21 May 2025): Teams received 40 minutes for setup before jury evaluation.
  9. Evaluation Criteria: Innovation and Creativity (30%), Technical Feasibility (25%), Real-World Impact (20%), Presentation and Communication (15%), Teamwork and Problem-Solving (10%).

  • Category Winners: Top projects were awarded in each of the four categories.
  • Top Performing Schools: Ranked using cumulative scores of both participating teams.
  • Popular Choice Award: Voted by Class 8 students; host school teams were not included.
  • Certificates: Issued to all participants and mentors.

Participation Notes and Contact

  • Originality Required: Plagiarism or reuse of existing project content led to disqualification.
  • Responsibility Clause: Participants were responsible for personal items and devices.
  • Presentation Setup: Tables, electricity, and seating were provided.
  • Bring Essentials: Teams carried required gadgets, chargers, and internet support as needed.
  • Code of Conduct: Respectful behavior, punctuality, and professionalism were expected.
  • Why Participate: The event strengthened STEM problem-solving, innovation, and presentation skills.
